Joint venture agreement being finalised with the Paz administration
Following the change of government in Bolivia, the talks resumed in March 2025 are now being concluded with the administration of President Rodrigo Paz, who took office on 8 November 2025. The finalisation of the improved agreement, which reflects the changed economic situation in Bolivia, is under way.
The aim remains to revitalize the joint venture YLB-ACISA-EM, established on 12 December 2018 between Yacimientos de Litio Bolivianos (YLB) and ACI Systems Alemania GmbH (ACISA), and to bring lithium extraction and industrialization at Salar de Uyuni into implementation.
